First is a photo of the original Cafe Racers in London. It’s 1949, they are demobed, Britain is rationed, petrol is unavailable, their running engines on ethanol & it’s Race Day at Johnson’s Cafe… fantastic !

Second is ‘ The Rainmaster” a product that was sold in Halfords circa 1948 – 1950 …unbelievably desperate !!

Third but not least, one of the wackiest images of any land speed record attempt … Egg Man… I just love those shoes ….. where is this machine now ?
